Community Involvement

Community involvement is an essential component of the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). It provides the public, agencies and stakeholders with access to information and data, and it offers them various opportunities to comment on the project. The community involvement phase often includes public hearings, discussion workshops and stakeholder meetings.

The FAA has historically conducted numerous meetings, hearings and charrettes to request public involvement. In addition, the SSA website is an important source of information, providing the public with access to documents, reports and meeting notices.
