Illinois Department of Transportation's Division of Aeronautics accepting applications to buy property.

Beginning April 4, 2001, the Illinois Department of Transportation's Division of Aeronautics started accepting applications from willing sellers whose property lies within the inaugural area of the South Suburban Airport near Peotone, Ill. The initial site is within the boundary of the ultimate South Suburban Airport footprint.

Federal guidelines will apply to the acquisition of property, including relocation costs. All price offers will be based on fair market value. Also, all owners of property held in trust must be fully disclosed before the state will issue payment for such property.
