What to Expect

Once a property is identified for purchase the property owner is contacted to schedule an appointment with the appraiser, relocation specialist and environmental specialist to perform their respective property inspections and interviews. The owner and or representative(s) are encouraged to be available during the inspection.

The land acquisition process will be conducted in accordance with the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970 (PA 91-646 as amended), as regulated by 49 CFR Part 24, Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition for Federal and Federally Assisted Programs (70 FR 590, January 4, 2005 and as may be amended).
