Facilities Implementation Plan &
Financial Feasibility Report submitted to FAA for review

PEOTONE - On May 20, 2013, IDOT-Division of Aeronautics submitted for review to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) the South Suburban Airport (SSA) Draft Facilities Implementation Plan and the SSA Draft Financial Feasibility Report.

The SSA Facilities Implementation Plan describes the overall phasing necessary to complete the development known as the Inaugural Airport Program (IAP), while the SSA Financial Feasibility Report identifies the financial options available to construct and operate the IAP.

These reports represent the last major components of the SSA Master Plan. IDOT will continue to work closely with the FAA during their review of submitted Master Plan reports and throughout the FAA’s Tier 2 Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) process.
